OBJECTIVE
Palm oil is found in over half of the items in our grocery stores, yet it has detrimental social and environmental effects. Ecolutions aims to educate people about the palm oil industry and provide resources to help them make smarter purchases in the future.
CONCEPT
After conducting extensive research regarding palm oil consumption and deforestation as well as then identifying relevant audience members and stakeholders, I created the brand Ecolutions. In order to accomplish the brand mission: to educate and to provide resources to reduce palm oil demand, I designed a series of posters, an event, mobile app and YouTube channel. While providing people with opportunities to learn, the brand goes a step further with the development of an app that allows for shoppers to make more sustainable choices, discovering “better for the environment” alternatives to the products they currently purchase. Within the brand identity, imagery is used to grab audience member’s attention and create an emotional response.
